The TGV Réseau is a high-speed self-propelled train of the SNCF, built by GEC-Alsthom and put into service from 1993. Directly derived from the TGV Atlantique, this equipment was designed to run on all French high-speed lines (the "networks"), hence its name. It stands out for its refined aerodynamic configuration and ability to adapt to different infrastructures.
The TSR train sets are dual-current trains (500 series) capable of running at 1,500 V DC and 25,000 V AC; they are used on most of the national grid.
Made up of two engines framing eight articulated cars (thanks to common bogies between the trailers), the TGV Réseau offers a maximum commercial speed of 320 km/h. Throughout his career, the park has benefited from several renovation programs (including designs by Christian Lacroix) to modernize its interior and passenger comfort, making it an essential part of intersections connections (from province to province) and radial.
